craft fair coolness (springtime edition).

within the next few weeks, i'll be participating in a craft fair (or something similar) called the moody marketplace.  it's a fundraiser for a pta in overland park.  i've been busy the last three days--making cards, collecting ideas, cutting paper, folding paper, gluing paper.  it's been pretty redundant.  but it's what i love.  i've churned out 50 cards so far!  you'll see a few below.  it's springtime; let's celebrate!  i'll be selling the cards for $3 or 4 cards for $10.  i also think i'll take some examples of wedding invitations i've made--so, people can see what i can do outside of handmade greeting cards.  there's beauty in designing, you know.

his & hers.

not too long ago, i had a friend allow me to make invitations to her sister's wedding shower.  i had a lot of fun with these.  they took some time, that's for sure, but they turned out pretty cute.  clever, you may say.  in the mirror, it said, "you're invited to a . . . " and then 'his & hers' towels hung next to the shower.  enjoy. :)  & let me make yours!

a little irish blessing.

so, st. patrick's day is just around the corner.  we get to hear about the luck of the irish, pinch people if they're not wearing green, and hear little drunken blessings--even see leprechauns looking for gold on tv if we're lucky.  people will try to get you to kiss them by simple saying they're irish, and if i'm lucky, you'll let me make your st. patrick's day cards.  here are a few i've made so far.

little sentiments.

lately, at work, we've had a lot to celebrate.  a lot of successes.  a lot of completion.  for those of you who know what i do, you probably are just as thrilled as i am . . . for those of you who don't, i work at a residential facility for teens--and in the past week, we've had four graduations!  :)  and i am so proud of those girls! it really is a big deal!

below, you'll see a couple of cards i made for two of the graduates (not from me, but from their therapist, who walked alongside them the entire way).

handmade christmas cards.

it feels good to show you the things i've done.  the things i'm proud of.  and it feels good, because if it was for you, i'd be pretty confident that you'd be proud, too.  that's the thing: if i'm making a card for you to send, you're the one who has to own it . . . and to me, that's a big deal.  and a big motivator.  with all that said, here are some christmas cards i made during the holiday season.
